Listen HereKanye West was on the Def Jam conference call today for short period of time. He took a break from a listening party he's got going on right now in the UK to talk to us American DJ's about 808's and Heartbreak, the album release date and such.
Speaking on 808's and Heartbreak, Kanye says,
"Niggaz have given up making music on a Quincy Jones level...When I listen to Jimi Hendrix and The Stones and Lenny Kravitz...I'm trying to push my craft to a level where no nigga ever made it to....""For those hating cause I'm not rapping right now...Thank you for letting me sit on my therapuetic couch and get this off." When asked about moving his album release date up he says,
"The label moved the album up to get more Thanksgiving sales. I had nothing to do with that! I'm confident with it!"
