T-Pain Lil Wayne - Can't Believe She Stayed Here (DJ Kaye Dunaway Re-Work)
Ok so I was just listening to music last night and decided to listen to Exile's "Stay Here" F. Muhsinah because that joint is crazy and I got the idea to put it to T-Wayne. I thought I wouldn't have to do much work but boy was I wrong. Starting with matching the pitch (I do it by ear not Mixed In Key...DJs you know. Lol!) Then the beat is off so I had to do some reconstructing to match T-Waynes vocal patterns. I'm making this sound so hard. Hell, it was kinda! But anyway I just finished it so let me know what you think. My Friday treat for ya!

Yamaha To Produce Alicia's Keys
Nashville, Tenn. (RushPRnews) 01/28/09 -International, multi-platinum R&B sensation Alicia Keys and the world’s largest musical instrument manufacturer, Yamaha, announced a new partnership to distribute piano-inspired sounds and future products. One of the sounds was introduced on Jan. 17, 2009 for an intimate gathering of press and dealers in the Yamaha booth at the Winter NAMM music product industry trade show in Anaheim, Calif.
“I wanted to create a sound that is just magnificent and that would inspire me to play,” said Keys. “It was an idea that was born during the creation of my last album As I Am, which was recorded at my own studio, The Oven Studios, in New York City. While we were there recording this album we were able to create a really warm and beautiful sound using my Yamaha C3 Neo, and we decided that we wanted to capture that sound and make it something that I can take with me everywhere.

Swagger Like Her - Keri Hilson

With Barack Obama as the fresh face leading the charge in Washington, the same can be said about Keri Hilson and her foray into the R&B world. Currently starring alongside Lil Wayne, T-Pain, and Gym Class Heroes on the “I Am Music” tour, Ms. Hilson sat down with GIANT to discuss the inauguration of our new president.
GIANT: What does Obama’s presidency mean to you?
Keri Hilson: It means a lot, it really does stand for hope. I remember being a kid in elementary school and there was always some black kid who was really studious, made great grades, and would probably be qualified to be the future President of the United States. But the teacher would say, “What do you wanna be when you grow up?” and he would say, “I wanna be the President.” The teacher and the students—the whole class—would be uproariously laughing. I guess I didn’t think much of it then and what was really wrong with that picture. Even the teacher would say, “No, you gotta choose something else, that’s not possible.” And the kid would sit there thinking, “Why?” Now we can really say to kids, “You can be anything.’” Obama was that kid, and he changed it for us all.
How would you describe Obama’s swagger?
(Laughs) I saw some old pictures of him and Michelle, and he was holding a cigarette—I think his critics were trying to say it was a joint or something—but he was holding it with such swagger. It was amazing. He’s so cool. Even when he’s doing his speeches, he has an air of just coolness, of just his own grown-man, mature, metrosexual swag. He gets it in.
You’re a budding style idol yourself. How would you describe your own swagger?
It’s very natural, it’s really not calculated. If they bring a rack, then I pick what I like and that’s it. It’s always a mix of who I am and a more feminine style because I am a tomboy at heart. You know, I don’t love heels—I love the way they look, but I don’t love the way they feel. I do appreciate them for what they do for your whole demeanor, for a certain look. If I had to put it in a nutshell, I’m a great mix between very tomboy and very chic.
Do you have any plans for Inauguration Day?
Actually, I do have the day off and I have a show in D.C. the next day. So I’ll try to make it to the Inauguration. I’ll be one of the 5 million, hopefully, out there.
The “I Am Music” tour makes its next stop in Minneapolis, MN at the Target Center on January 19.

Naturi Naughton On Playing Lil Kim
We all know by now how Lil Kim feels about the choice of Naturi to play her, but I heard that she did a good job! Lil Kim said that she was the last choice, but honestly if Lil Kim had her choice I'm afraid she would have picked someone like Lauren London (not quite right for the Lil Kim role) but I'm so looking forward to checking the movie out this weekend! As if the neon tights in the Dynamite video weren't enough to give a child nightmares....This was one of those videos that I was afraid to watch while my parents were around because there was a sex scene that was a lil to graphic for me at that age. I guess that's why it was disturbing. I mean who wants to see a Jackson sexing up someone! You might think, hey, Janet? No. Her neither. The best part, though, is Iman when she almost shot Jermaine. It would have been a better video if she did!

Hollyweerd: Electricity Showroom Mixtape
Very dope mixtape! I went to the album release which was at The Standard (a shoe boutique). DJ Jamad and DJ Wreckonize were spinning. I was sitting talking to friends and some random photographer wants me to be a shoe model and take a couple of pics of my shoes. I said that I hope he knows that I only paid $5 for theses and I've had them for about 8 years now! LMAO! My job is done.
